A young eagle’s flight towards dreams

An eagle represents freedom. This majestic animalstands at the top of a mountain with its beautiful, big and strong wings. Theseare destined to grow into the eagle’s body in order to allow it to reach higherand brighter blue skies, fly through the warm and yellow sunrays and arrive toamazing new places. For the eagle, these fantastic and exotic destinations areexpected to be better places for living. The intention of this young eagle isto land in a territory where everything works and happens the way it desiresthem to. However, when a hunter cuts its wings, this magnificent bird cannotfly anymore and it will be stuck in the same place, at the top of that lonely,dull mountain, slowly dying.

This situation symbolizes dreams; the eagle representsthat liberty for dreaming, for wanting to reach higher expectations, goals andhopes; which can go as far as we want them to. This way, we’re waiting todiscover new places, opportunities and chances; we’re always waiting, thinking,aiming, but it’s hard to actually make a move; take the risk and soar. Thehunter represents the idea of “what if?” of regret, fear, of those littlewhispers which grow into stronger voices that keep us doubting either ofexpanding our wings or not; it symbolizes everything which stops us fromreaching our dreams; for blindly chasing after them. This stands for how otherscan influence us not to dream or wish a lot, and even when we, ourselves, areresponsible for holding back from having illusions and expectations; whichcould actually take us away from an unhappy situation. This way, we’re leftwith regret and sorrow; which is the moment in which the eagle falls downwingless, sadly lying on the ground; slowly fading away, letting its soul’saspirations to disappear.

Retomando la subjetividad de la vida

Aquellos que somos estudiantes tenemos la misma

vida sujeta a una apretada agenda: Despertar, alistarse para tomar el bus, llegar a la institución, atender a clase, bostezar una que otra vez y tratar de volver a poner atención, tomar el bus de regreso a casa, hacer tarea y dormir; ¿para que? Para volver a comenzar con la rutina. Pero, si todo el tiempo estamos absorbiendo como buenas esponjas toda la información que se nos presenta a diario y la acumulamos para utilizarla en un futuro, ¿Cuando, realmente, vivimos el presente? Y no sólo ver televisión, o salir a una buena fiesta, o ver una película en el cine, sino, ¿pensar en lo que realmente amamos mas? ¿Qué nos motiva? ¿Qué nos hace muy felices? ¿Acaso no puede haber un momento en el que no haya algo

obligado que hacer, una persona con la cual disculparse, una tarea por terminar o unos platos que lavar? Un momento para sentarnos a pensar, a cerrar los ojos, respirar profundo y meditar sobre la vida. O si es muy aburrido, ir a un sitio calmado en el cual podamos relajarnos y olvidar todas las obligaciones y sonreír al estar a gusto? Correr entre los frondosos árboles, observar los hermosos patos que nadan sobre las aguas de un lago o ver un atardecer?

Hay veces que nos olvidamos de lo maravillosa que es la subjetividad humana. Las acciones del párrafo anterior son ejemplos de aquello que es lo hermoso de disfrutar una vida tranquila. la subjetividad de la naturaleza, la de un buen libro, un poema, la compañía de alguien más... Incluso, existen ocasiones en las que tratamos de devolver dicha subjetividad a nuestra vida pero, por hacerlo, nos retrasamos con el deber, con las tareas por realizar, las promesas que cumplir y esfuerzos para alcanzar una meta; vivimos a costa de ellas. ¿No podríamos sólo disfrutar de la calma del presente? Cualquiera de estos días podría llegar el fin de nuestra vida. Y si ese fin es mañana, ¿realmente disfruté la subjetividad de la vida, o sólo me quedé estancado en la rutina?

Romeo and Juliet in the XXIst Century... Does this love and themselves exist?

So... wow, I feel incredibly happy right now... haha. I just saw Letters to Juliet for the second time alone in my laptop early in the morning... it's nearly 3am and I feel the need to share so many thoughts! At first, I want to tell you something about how I identify myself with Sophie, the main female character, played by Amanda Seyfried.

Sophie is a factchecker, but she really wants to be a writer, and also, she's really sensitive, emotional and a girl who can really fall in love. She believes in true love and destiny, so that it brings people who are meant for each other together. Isn't that right? There must be someone out there specially made for us, as my friend Andrea said to me once.

Alright, back to the writer thing. I seriously love the idea of traveling around the world and looking for inspiration in such touching experiences as the one seen throughout the movie. And not only that, but VERONA? Oh my God! this is actually a gorgeous city -which I haven't visited, yet- where Renaissance, romance and Romeo and Juliet can be felt in the air. Plus, what about looking for love there? What if it is destiny that you travel to such place to finally meet your soulmate? Or what if it isn't Italy but England? The heart is aching, and there's always room for a sweet honest person who's going to give his or her very own heart to you. Maybe 'happily ever after's' do exist... Wo says it isn't worth trying?

And now, explaining the tittle, with all of what I've said before, maybe Romeo and Juliet's love exists within our hearts. We decide to love someone entirely and trying the impossible to remain together and to maintain the fire of love alive. Romeo and his Juliet could be every single couple where love exists in such pure and magnificent way. Does every girl have a Romeo and every man his beloved Juliet?

You may be the judge.

"Un extraño en su medio..."

"Meursault, protagonista de El Extranjero, vive una angustiosa situación que lo lleva a sentirse un extraño en su medio", dice la editorial en la contraportada de la obra "El Extranjero", de Albert Camus. ¿Por qué empezar esta entrada con esa cita textual? bueno pues... la verdad es que no me es muy ajeno lo que dicen esas palabras; ¿estoy realmente viviendo algo que vale la pena?, es la pregunta que a veces me formulo. ¿No les ha pasado que hay veces que, simplemente, no saben qué hacer, que las horas pasan, los días llegan a su fin y sienten que sólo se ha perdido un día más de existencia? espero que este sentimiento sea más común de lo que pienso, pues si no es así, soy la única en, a veces, no encontrarle el sentido a la vida.

Hay momentos en los que me siento una extraña en la realidad, que todo sigue pasando sin que yo haga alguna cosa. A veces no somos tan importantes en lo que ocurre a nuestro alrededor. Hay ocasiones en las que podríamos desaparecer y nada cambiaría. La verdad es que no todos te extrañarían. Sólo hay unos pocos a los que realmente le importas y estas personas son las que te dan fuerzas para seguir adelante.

No se me ocurren palabras para continuar con este espontáneo estudio filosófico. Tal vez es que quiero que alguien allí afuera sepa lo que ocurre conmigo; si es que a alguien le importa, pues mi desaparición no hará que el mundo se detenga.

Definitivamente, quiero escribir. ¿Sobre qué? No lo sé. Dejaré que mi imaginación, sentimientos, críticas y demás sean los que midan las letras que se ubicarán, de manera ordenada, para formar cada oración. Dejaré que mi pluma (digital, jaja) se deslice sobre el papel (nuevamente, digital), simplemente...

escribiré. Espero que se animen a leer mi SUPER BLOG! :D

Tal vez hasta rían de mis desgracias que relataré o incluso sentirán compasión. Puede que se enamoren de las historias que comenzaré a crear a diario. Tal vez hasta digan "yo leía sus primeros escritos antes de que fuese muy famosa"... oigan... soñar no cuesta nada. Espero publicar un libro. Por ahora estoy trabajando en uno, de una historia llamada "Beyond the Shore", que involucra una protagonista desubicada, perdida del mundo y un pirata muy apuesto que, con su desastrosa vida caerá rendido en los brazos de esta chica. ¿Interesante? Bueno... tendré que convencerlos de que lo es. :)

Inventaré una firma de despedida... hmm...

¡Ah!, ¡ya sé!
